Long story long

Long story long

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and received my Bachelor degree in Graphic & Industrial Design from Esdi / UERJ (Rio de Janeiro State University), a prestigious Brazilian Undergraduate program in the Design field.

In my graduation year, while working as an intern for LNCC (a leading institution in Scientific Computing and Computational Modeling), I was introduced to hypertext and web design. Hooked from day one, it didn’t take me long to realize that I could actually make a career out of it. Commercial internet wasn’t even born yet in Brazil (the year was 1994), but that didn’t stop me from being one of the very first Brazilians to ever design a web page. Soon freelance requests started kicking in, followed closely by invites for seminars, events as a speaker and newspaper/magazine interviews.

Along with recognition came awards (21 in total), as well as requests for larger and more sophisticated projects. I then moved to São Paulo, the financial heart of Brazil, where I established my company and brand. Under LivingPIX, I led approximately 80 projects over the course of 3 years, a valued contribution that intersects with the history of the internet in Brazil. E-commerce, Automotive and Banking are just a few examples of the industries that contributed to the rich diversity of my portfolio.

Three years later, I decided to accept an offer to join the newly created AgenciaClick/Isobar’s dream team. The move was not only my first step into digital advertising (followed later by J. Walter Thompson and DRAFTFCB), but the starting point of my shift into Strategy and UX. I actually founded the UX practice at AgenciaClick. But before that, as an Art Director, I was awarded a golden pencil from the London International Awards, and starred the Cannes shortlist.

With a strong and reliable reputation in the Digital Strategy and UX fields built over the years, in 2007 I took a step into a more flexible schedule working as a consultant, which allowed me more time to dedicate to my growing family. With Klue, I fully positioned myself as a Digital/UX guru, supporting agencies and corporations in Brazil and in the US. Even after the move to New York City in 2012, I kept providing remote guidance to my partners and clients.

Early 2014 brought me the good news that my petition for the EB-1 (Extraordinary Ability Green Card) had been approved, which meant that the US would have to stick with me for a little bit longer. Avon, Globant, Prudential and College Board (where I am now) were then added to the list of amazing teams I had the opportunity to work with.
